Tom Turkeys

Here are a couple of pictures I took today of the wild turkeys (the male toms in particular). There is a flock of about 20, maybe 30 at times, that roam through the yard at least once a day. It's mating season now, so it's funny to watch the males fan their tail feathers out. They're such a different color this time of year vs the rest of the year.

Some of my family have started using blogs to post family, vacation pictures etc and information so that we can all keep up with what's going on with us. Mike and I thought it would be a good idea to start one for the Lucas family. So, here goes. We hope that all of you will join in the fun.

I'm starting with posting a picture I took this morning of the snow / ice we got overnight last night. It's almost 6 pm and the trees still look pretty much the same....very heavily weighted down. Our neighbors across the road lost several long limbs out of their trees up front. Will add some more later.
